Europort

Modern business district with practical living and excellent connectivity.

Europort is Gibraltar's principal modern commercial district, built on reclaimed land on the western side of the Rock. It is characterised by purpose-built office towers, business premises, and a growing residential component that makes it one of the more self-contained areas of Gibraltar. For professionals working in finance, insurance, or gaming (industries central to Gibraltar's economy), living in or near Europort often makes practical sense given the proximity to employers.

The residential buildings in Europort are predominantly modern apartments, many built in the 2000s and 2010s, offering better space and specification than the older building stock in Upper Town or parts of the town centre. The area is flat and easy to navigate, which is a notable advantage over the steep terrain elsewhere on the Rock. Morrisons supermarket is close by, and the town centre is a short walk or drive away.

Europort is not a destination area in the way that Ocean Village or Queensway Quay are, but it is an extremely practical place to live. The lack of a waterfront promenade or historic streetscape is offset by convenience, modern amenities, and rents that are more moderate than the marina developments. It suits people who want a hassle-free base from which to enjoy the rest of Gibraltar rather than a lifestyle in itself.
